Christ didn’t come to “fight a culture war” and Paul notes our fight is not with flesh and blood.
But Christ didn’t come to change the laundry or mow the lawn and we also still find ourselves in contests with fleshy forces so what are we to do?
And what is “culture” to Joe and Susie Parishioner, let alone Joe and Susie Guild Member?
In the second quarterly dinner of our programming year, in which we’re prompted to reflect on our 1776 American and Catholic roots, we’re taking a novel look at culture and the culture war, because today, as it was in 1776 — and in all of history — there’s a war being waged on our minds and hearts!
